Drop-Off Procedures:

There is no student supervision before 8:15.
-
Cars enter the Bilquist parking lot at the entry road just south of the school, past the Adult Care provider sign. Look for the Enter Bilquist signs.
-
Cars accessing the Drop-Off Zone should merge LEFT and then turn left towards the gym and follow the drop off pattern.
-
Cars needing to park to walk children to the school entrance or do school business, should merge to the right on the entrance road and turn right into the South (gym) parking lot.
-
As you turn left past the gym, there is a yellow painted curb with signs that state “Student Loading and Unloading Only - No Parking.” Please carefully pull forward as far as possible along the curb to drop students off in the morning. DO NOT leave your car stopped along this curb.
-
-
Check your mirrors, use your turn signals, exercise patience, and please drive cautiously and slowly in the parking lots.
-
No Parking zones to the far left of the drop off zone and speed bumps are for student safety.
-
At the exit area onto Webster Rd., a white line separates the exit area into a left-turn lane and a right-turn lane. Please DO NOT block these areas.
-
The Webster Rd. and North parking lots are for buses only during arrival times -- 8:10am - 8:30am.
-
At 8:15am, students may enter the building and go to their classroom or breakfast.
-
School breakfast service begins at 8:15am. All students are provided breakfast free of charge. Students wishing to have school breakfast are expected to report immediately to the cafeteria upon arrival, manage their time, and be in class by the 8:30am bell.
-
Parents are expected to remain outside.
-
Teachers begin teaching promptly at 8:30am.
-
If students will be arriving after 8:30am, please contact the office (503-353-5340) so we can adjust attendance.
-
Students arriving at school after 8:30am are to report to the office prior to going to class.
Dismissal/Student Pick-Up Procedures
Bilquist Dismissal Procedures
-
Students are dismissed at 2:45pm. Please avoid picking up students early unless there is an emergency. Full participation in end-of-day activities and information are important for all students.
-
Students being picked up will report to the South side of the building to wait for parents. Bus riders will report to the bus loading area to access their bus.
-
Students may be picked up along the curb on the South side of the building. Please do not leave your vehicle to walk into the school. Please move forward carefully as other cars exit the parking lot. Please use caution when exiting the drop off area. Parents wanting to “walk” their children from the school to the car should park in the South (gym) parking lot.
-
The Webster Rd. and North Parking lots are for buses only during the dismissal period from 2:35pm – 2:55pm. Cars should not enter these areas during dismissal times as they are congested with children and school buses. Parked cars may not be able to exit this area until the buses have departed.
-
The Pick-Up procedure and traffic patterns are the same as the Drop-Off procedure.
-
Students are expected to stay with their “go home” plan each day. Students may not ride other buses or choose to walk home unless a parent has sent a written note to the teacher or office or contacted the office directly. The staff will always default to the most current “go home” plan.
-
Please avoid last minute changes in the “go home” plan. The office staff will do their best, but we cannot guarantee changes to routines made after 2:00pm.
-
“Walkers” and “Bikers” are expected to proceed directly home after school.
-
The school playground is not supervised after school and closed to general use until 4:00pm. If students stay on the playground during dismissal time, a parent must be present to supervise their activity and monitor their behavior
